Employers share their experiences on hiring and working with Hivers

To complete Hivers’ education as coders, our curriculum includes a mandatory “Employment Project”, which gives the highly motivated students a first real-life experience of what working as a coder truly means.

Hire a Hiver

Throughout the year, Hivers are on the look-out for job opportunities in great companies. Hire a Hiver is a platform that connects talent seekers with Hive Helsinki’s students.

You can submit your open positions from below.

What to expect from a Hiver?

Teamwork

THROUGH PEER-TO-PEER WORKING

By working closely with others Hivers learn how to work in teams, manage their time, advance projects, communicate effectively and resolve conflicts.

Passion & Autonomy

THROUGH RIGOUROUS SELECTION AND STUDIES

Hivers need to love what they do and demonstrate a high level of curiosity and determination. They enjoy being challenged and can be quite resourceful.

Creative problem solving

THROUGH DEEP UNDERSTANDING OF FUNDAMENTALS

At Hive, students learn how to learn. Hivers begin by focusing on understanding the foundations of code. By diving deep into the fundamentals, they develop the skills to think creatively and tackle problems effectively.

Adaptability

THROUGH DIVERSITY

Hivers can integrate into any company due to their ability of working in teams and with people of different levels and backgrounds. They also learn fast and easily adopt new technologies.

Rigor

THROUGH ATTENTION TO DETAIL

Hivers can both understand a problem on a big picture level while also having great attention to detail. They understand a software needs to function 100% and will strive for that no matter how many tries it takes.

Catch amazing talent

Our students are looking for 4 to 6-month-long, paid employment where they can showcase their talent, understanding of code, creativity, ambition and the hunger to learn more.

Companies who employ Hivers only need to appoint a mentor for the student, and provide clear and challenging responsibilities for the 4-6 month long period of paid employment execution.

The Hive employment project is an amazing opportunity for companies to catch talent early in their careers!
