how to succeed at Hive
Hive Helsinki is hard. Here’s how to succeed
Getting into Hive Helsinki is tough, and graduating is even tougher. The 18-month software engineering program is valued at 10 00 euros, and it costs you nothing, but you earn it by showing up consistently.

What it actually takes
Success at Hive Helsinki is less about natural talent and more about showing up, building routines, and staying engaged with the work and the community.
There are no teachers. No long holidays. You own your schedule, your progress, and your learning. The program expects 30 to 40 hours of focused work per week.

Work with the people around you
At Hive Helsinki, you learn new things, make progress, and solve problems with the people sitting next to you. You are expected to discuss challenges, share what you know, and ask for help when you’re stuck.
The community is the basis of learning at Hive and you are expected to contribute to it.

If you do the work, the results will follow
Hive is built on shared responsibility and mutual accountability. When students do the work, the results follow.
The behaviours that lead to success at Hive are the same behaviours that lead to success in the professional world. If you show up, if you’re willing to persist, reflect, and grow, you’ll come out the other side transformed.
